May 30, 2011 - I recently was given the Canon ImageClass MF5700 series printer. I had to go find a driver for it. The most recent I could find was the Windows. I recently was given the Canon ImageClass MF5700 series printer. I had to go find a driver for it. The most recent I could find was the Windows Vista 3.0 driver. I hoped it would work with Windows 7. Well, turns out I am still not sure. I can not get the printer to work. I read on a few forums of people getting it to work with Windows 7, though that it is not always reliable.
I’ve done all I know. Is there a Windows 7 driver for the Canon ImageClass MF5700 series? Is this printer even compatible with Windows 7? Any tip tricks or anything to get it working? If you are using windows 7 64 bits, you just need to change the operating system to x64 in the box provided. Try installing the new drivers either by executing the file downloaded or by using device manager.
If this does not work, the best thing to do is to uninstall all the software from Cannon from your computer. Restart computer, once all drivers and software are uninstalled. When computer is running again, start the printer installation. Make sure to install the printer according to manufacturer's instructions. If you do not have a manual, you can visit the following link to get one. Make sure to download the set up manual and follow the steps given there.
