I heard that if the doctors report my medical condition that DMV can take away my driving privileges, is this true? I have had one accident in the past 3 years which was minor and was determined to be my fault. Aside from this accident I have a good driving record, no tickets moving violations in over ten years.

This won't be automatic. If the DMV receives a report from your doctor they are supposed to send you a copy of the form linked below. After getting full information the DMV would have you come in for testing and may either revoke or limit your license (for example to only allow day time driving). Even then you'd have a right to request a hearing. But you know what you can and cannot do - are others still safe when you are behind the wheel?

Of course the DMV can take your license, just as it would someone who was blind, quadraplegic or otherwise incapable of safely operating a motor vehicle. By your own admission, you can only use one hand and have already caused an accident.

I understand your frustration; I have a family member with MS. While her condition is much improved, she is incapable of operating a motor vehicle and has been for decades.
